Matt black cotton percale gives the bed a crisp, graphic edge.

Black bedding looks sharp against plaster walls, a jute rug and brass bedside lamps. Add linen cushions in stone or oatmeal and the dark cover reads as deliberate rather than heavy. The matt surface of percale keeps the black looking rich rather than shiny, which suits a main bedroom or a guest room that can carry a little drama.

Black Cotton Percale Duvet Cover Set

A black cotton duvet cover is a bold way to anchor a bed, and this one is 100% cotton percale at T144, a light, crisp weave with a smooth finish. The cover fastens with press studs, and the 20 cm full-width tuck-in flap helps the duvet stay where it should. Matching 60 x 70 cm pillowcases (one with the single, two with the double and king) are included, each with a hotel closure and 15 cm flap so the pillow stays covered. Choose a single duvet cover at 140 x 220 cm, a double duvet cover at 200 x 220 cm or a king size duvet cover at 240 x 220 cm.

Set the machine to 40°C and tumble dry. It is an easy cover to live with, night after night.

What size duvet does each cover fit?
Single fits a 140 x 220 cm duvet; double fits a 200 x 220 cm duvet; king fits a 240 x 220 cm duvet.

Are pillowcases included?
Yes. The single comes with one pillowcase; the double and king come with two pillowcases. Each pillowcase is 60 x 70 cm (hotel closure with 15 cm flap).

What is a hotel or housewife closure?
It is an inner flap at the open end of the pillowcase that tucks over the pillow, so the pillow stays covered without buttons or a zip.

How does the duvet cover close?
It closes with press studs. A full-width tuck-in flap (20 cm) keeps the duvet in place.
