Black cotton, soft and smooth, drawn over both halves of a split topper.

Black gives a bed a crisp outline against pale walls. Try it with a black metal frame, a rattan floor lamp and a trailing plant on the dresser. It is a strong choice for a modern bedroom, and it ties in easily with black window frames, a dark wardrobe or a charcoal rug.
